C: yellow gold, transparent
20 N: 高粱,蔘片,麥片,麥子,健素糖, followed by some toffee and vanilla, then some malty and cream,
18 T: light,有點感覺像在喝蔘茶, a little spicy and bitterness, malty, cookie
19 F: short, malty, bitterness, some人蔘, powder, brad, flat at the end
19 B: somehow balanced, active from begin, a little boring
2.Tamnavulin 12yo 40% OB
C: yellow
20 N: powder, medicine, some light syrup, followed by some sweet toffee and fresh cream
18 T: light, nutmeg, cookie, a little spicy and bitterness, some tannins, cereal
19 F: short, malty, caramel, 一點醬菜味, powder, grape seed,甘油, again flat at the end
18 B: degrade too fast..no comment
3.Tamnavulin 18yo 1978 59.6% for 1st German Whisky Fair (1-3 Nov 1996) Signatory Sherry Cask
C: amber
22 N: light sherry, sweet and beautiful,一點中藥味, cinnamon, coffee bean, followed by some spices, leaf, then some nutmeg, creme brulee, good layers
21 T: medium, dry and spicy, very good impact, powder, some tannins, cinnamon, some light sulphur full of mouth at the end
20 F: medium -> long,中藥味, a little sulphur, coffee bean, plum, good texture but few complexes at the end
20 B: good balanced, better for nosing.但酒體後段顯得有些潰散且不集中,有點失望
4.Tamnavulin 22yo 1978 58.2% C#8063 B#480/548 Signatory Pale Oloroso Butt
C: light yellow
22 N: rich white flowers, nutmeg, pineapple, coconut, followed by some sulphur, prune, then some apple peal, ginger
20 T: medium, dry and spicy, powder, lemon peal, ginger, sweet and a little sticky, creamy
20 F: medium, milk candy, coconut, vanilla, cream, but still w/ some sulphur, good texture
21 B: good balanced, both for N&T. but one dram is enough for me
PS.第3,4支酒碰巧都是Sigv 1978的雪莉桶,但表現卻截然不同,相當有趣~
5.Tamnavulin 39yo 1968 40.4% C#23665 179Bts Exclusive Malts
C: yellow gold
21 N: sandal wood, coconut, but a little thin wood cask, sweet and beautiful, then some dry white flowers
21 T: light, but round and smooth, sandal wood, a little sour, mango, orange juice, grapefruit
21 F: medium, a little liquorices, grapefruit, sandal wood coconut, very fluently
21 B: balanced, beautiful and elegant old one, not make you surprised, but highly drinkable
6.Tamnavulin 40yo 40.4% 649bts Special Drinks Ltd Anniversary Selection Matured in Barrel
C: light yellow
22 N: new furniture, leather, fresh oak, some quinces, very graceful and delicates, a little sandal wood at the end
20 T: light -> medium, smooth, sandal wood, crème, honey, w/ some lemon and cinnamon peal, hint of ginger at the end
20 F: medium, beautiful wood cask, fresh cream, sandal wood, longan, expecting more variant at the end
22 B: good balanced both for N & T, a very gentle old bottle, no stress at all!
PS1.第5,6支酒碰巧酒精度都是40.4%,但特質卻各異其趣,很棒的比較!
PS2.記得K大在會中提到Tamnavulin酒廠的特色就是沒什麼特色,因此相當適合做其他調和式威士忌的基酒,但這邊我有些不同想法,既然他們酒廠也要推出年輕的SMW OB,就該推出他的特色,不然恐怕只是徒增惆悵啊~~~純粹個人見解..
