There's an increasing trend in Paypal phishing scams. The most recent Paypal spoof I received warns me that my Paypal bill has been suspended. It requires me to recover full access to my account by logging into Paypal. I'm sent to a web site that looks exactly like the PayPal login page, when I select the link provided in the mail. Dig up more on the affiliated use with - Navigate to this webpage: https://www.slideshare.net/brianladin. But the link does not go to Paypal.

This is the link displayed in the e-mail I received.

It actually requires you to a page when you click on the link.

It is broadly speaking not a good idea to select links within an mail. Make sure that you're signing to the Paypal site by taking a look at the address area section of your browser, if you do.

Contact your bank or credit card companies immediately to avoid identity theft, In case you have already responded to the email. If you want to test your Paypal consideration status, manually sort PayPal's address in-to your browser and sign in normally.

I was able to tell that it was a spoof email since the email began with Dear PayPal member.' Paypal will always address you by your first and last name. Still another way to tell if a contact is from Paypal is to consider the full header. The email header can be your indication of if the email is from Paypal or not. When looking at the header it will say who sent the e-mail in the very first two lines. Example in-the latest spoof mail I received it originated in

Return-Path: lester@server.ravin.net

Received: from http://server.ravin.net

If it doesnt say that it passed through Paypals machine, you then know the e-mail is just a spoof. The FBI is earnestly investigating these spoofs, so please report any suspicious emails by forwarding them to spoof@paypal.com. You can also file a complaint with the Internet Fraud Complaint Center at http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/strategy/howtofile.asp..
