Queen的《Bohemian Rhapsody》於1975年問世, 記得第一次聽首歌時是在我中學時代的「週末任你點」節目, 我還記得那個MTV, 黑佈景前的四個人頭。不過, 最令我印象深刻的是此曲的變化, 聽著此曲時, 總是感到有一條好像是心電圖的曲線在不停跳動。
最近, 因為朋輩的影響, 我再次對搖滾樂展開追求, 朋友再一次提起了《Bohemian Rhapsody》, 現在再聽, 那曲線還在, 只是, 受了教育之後讓我懂得聽其歌詞。
當了解了歌詞之後, 我發現這其實是一首很悲的歌, 縱使旋律輕快(尤其是歌劇的一段), 但歌詞卻表現著「死亡」和「痛苦」的象徵, 例如「Mama,just killed a man,Put a gun against his head,Pulled my trigger,now he’s dead」和「Too late,my time has come,Sends shivers down my spine-Bodys aching all the time,Goodbye everybody-I’ve got to go-Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth-」, 輕快的旋律和痛悲的歌詞對比之下, 那種悲涼的感覺更叫人深刻。
我一直在想著《Bohemian Rhapsody》的內容, 我所想到的大概是一個人, 他向自己的腦袋開了一槍, 在那一剎那, 他想起了很多東西, 包括他對母親的悔疚、對自己生存的世界的不滿(如:So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye-
So you think you can love me and leave me to die-), 中段變成了歌舞劇形式, 我所想像, 主角已變成一個木偶, 任周邊的人唾罵, 因為「He’s just a poor boy from a poor family-Spare him his life from this monstrosity」, 那當然是虛幻的, 如歌詞所說, 他的以後就是Body’s aching all the time, 那一槍就隨著結尾時的一句「Nothing really matters to me, Anyway the wind blows」, 風平浪靜的走入了無間地獄。
《Bohemian Rhapsody》的歌詞是非常「到肉」的, 如果配合適當的情緒, 每每都會令人流出眼淚, 對我來說, 每次聽到那句「I don’t want to die,I sometimes wish I’d never been born at all-」, 有什麼能比這句說話更絕望? 我覺得這和「生舊叉燒好過生我」一樣的殘酷, 不是嗎?
