How Starting Your Own 'State Membership' Can Skyrock...

My mother was visiting recently and during our mother-daughter shopping time I discovered something interesting. The majority of the stores I made a purchase at asked me if I'd like to get on the mailing list. That is very smart.

Nevertheless, the WAY in-which they did this made a positive change in my answer. I said NO to the vast majority of them since they only didn't allow it to be engaging for me. But one shop particularly got me. Firstly, it was a designer clothing store I loved. Secondly, they did not ask me if I wished to be on the email list. They asked me to become a 'VIP Client.'

Say what 'VIP' if you ask me and my ears improve. I-t of course represents 'extremely important person.' And generally speaking it implies a level of reputation and advantage. Suddenly I WANTED to be on that email list, especially when the salesman told me it was included with certain benefits, such as early notice on new arrivals, an individual buying service, and private trunk shows.

And do you know what? I'd have also paid-to engage in that - to be viewed as a VIP.

You see, people WISH to be part of something specific like e-zine promotion. The example above was free. But don't underestimate how much your customers or customers will PAY to do that, sometimes.

Example: A buddy of mine recently contributed he gives $15,000.00 per year to fit in with the President's Club of the local playhouse, although he and his wife might attend each show there just for $150.00. Why would a good faithful attendee desire to spend 100 times more? Particular therapy like preferred seating, valet parking, encourages to VIP functions, personal restaurant for members only, networking with a higher-level of people, an such like.

Still another friend of mine gives for membership in a private nightclub within Los Angeles up on Sunset Blvd. For several of the same reasons (but much more, I believe, because it impresses his times ; ).

I call it 'nation clubbing' your business. Why be when you can be the classy six-figure membership team down the street the driving range having an constant fee? My Platinums are, primarily, VIPs within my world! And since I maintain a little of mystique concerning the group, people seem to want 'in' even more. I discuss this to not impress you, but to impress upon you that in YOUR market (yes, *yours*) there's a portion of people who will gladly spend MORE - much more - for an increased level of service or treatment. Remember, you're not trying to please EVERYONE, just-the select few who is able to afford that degree of service.

So now, take a moment or two and consider how YOU can start your own 'country club' for your clients and customers. Whether it is a VIP level of service or a private customer group that meets a few times a year.

To get your wheels turning, imagine this... If you're able to get 10 visitors to agree to some form of plan that's just $10,000.00 a year, that's an extra $100,000.00 this year for YOU!.
