一名羅姓女子和林姓男友、朋友等人日前到一家PUB飲酒K歌，但她扶不勝酒力的男友
上廁所時，廁所電燈突遭關閉，因此跌倒，懷疑是陌生陳姓男子所為，後來就爆發肢體衝突，林男回家便昏迷不醒，送醫後仍命危，警方也正介入調查事發經過。
頭份警方表示，11日3時30分許接獲報案，稱頭份市和平路PUB有打架事件，然而員警到達現場後發現僅剩受傷的羅姓女子及友人在現場，並自稱遭到不明人士毆打，對方和自己的男友也已離開，因此先將羅女送醫，隨後調閱監視器全面追緝。
經查經調閱監視器分析比對後，發現住竹南鎮26歲陳姓、27歲劉姓、30歲蔡姓及26歲陳姓男子等4人涉有重嫌，12日追查到案說明，陳嫌等人辯稱
不認識被害人，是因為不滿遭林姓被害人懷疑關燈而發生衝突，訊問後全案依傷害、殺人未遂罪嫌移送苗栗地方法院檢察署偵辦，然而林姓男子自行返家休息後，其家人於11日下午發現他昏迷不醒送醫急救，目前有生命危險。
分局長賴銘助表示，本案雙方人馬均互不認識，酒後因誤會而發生衝突致有人重傷，付出的代價實在是太大，呼籲民眾應做好個人情緒管理，尤其是出門在外更應謹言慎行，避免惹禍上身。
