達拉斯小牛今年開季戰績奇爛，3勝13敗西區墊底，當然被質疑是為了「擺爛搶狀元」，但老闆Mark Cuban（庫班）否認。
「恨者恆恨。」Cuban說：「在這個越來越出色的聯盟競爭，只要你一沒做好，你就會有機會拿到好的順位，但別忘了，就算你是爐主，也有75%的機會拿不到狀元籤。」
小牛今年傷病問題嚴重，先是精神領袖Dirk Nowitzki，接著主力後衛Deron Williams、Devin Harris、Jose Juan Barea全掛彩，又有多名新來的球員，幾乎是台拼裝車隊。
「有很多球隊已經習慣輸球了，你可不希望球員染上這種惡習，我們球隊有很多年輕球員，我們希望我們的比賽是有意義的。」Cuban說。
Cuban坦承，明年選秀讓他不感興趣也是不會故意輸球的原因之一。
「選到一個最後會變成超級巨星的球員實在太難了，這次的選秀我沒有看到任何像是Shaq、LeBron、Tim Duncan的傢伙。」Cuban說。
「所以我不認為擺爛是對的，我們必須忽略酸民，做好自己的事。」Cuban說。

其他推薦文章巫師一哥John Wall在7日主場迎戰魔術的比賽中狂飆生涯新高52分，但獨木難撐大局，巫師最後仍以116比124不敵魔術。
Wall本場比賽可說是狀況絕佳，除了招牌切入依舊犀利難擋外，還飆進5顆三分球，全場拿下52分還外帶8助攻。
但正所謂雙拳難敵四手，何況魔術發威的有好幾手，此役魔術一共有7人得分上雙，最高分的是Elfrid Payton，全場拿下25分，其中有22分集中在上半場，幫助魔術打完半場便握有15分領先，就此奠定勝基。
另外魔術表現亮眼的是Jeff Green拿下20分，Jodie Meeks也有18分進帳，加上Nikola Vucevic的10分，這3位球員和Payton都是替補出賽，綿延不絕的火力延續讓巫師望塵莫及。
至於巫師除了Wall之外以Bradley Beal的19分最佳，巫師近4場比賽吞下3場敗仗，平均失分高達117.5分，顯見防守出了很大的問題。

「我那次出手感覺很好，但最後卻沒有進球」。塞爾提克中鋒Al Horford（霍福特）賽後無奈表示。
Horford在6日面對火箭的比賽中，比賽結束前5秒獲得空檔切入上籃，沒想到竟然「放槍」沒進。讓火箭以107比106驚險贏得勝利。
除Horford外此役關鍵人物絕對是「大鬍子」James Harden，全場拿下37分8籃板8助攻。終場前1分鐘三分跳投命中讓火箭拿下勝利保險分，沒想到倒數16秒竟然對Marcus Smart臉部揮肘，被吹判一級惡性犯規，塞爾提克罰球後還獲得球權，若非Horford關鍵放槍，綠衫軍很可能帶走最後勝利。
賽後Harden認為裁判吹判相當合理，坦言自己不應該有揮肘的行為。
除Harden外火箭以Eric Gordon攻下19分表現最佳，另外Horford全場拿下21分為綠衫軍最高，可惜無緣成為球隊逆轉英雄。
