I have been watching social networking for quite a while now. In-fact I am a member of numerous social-networking websites including https://www.linkedin.com and http://www.myspace.com/ merely to name two.
I joined partly because I wished to see what they were, but more to the point to see what influence social media might have on SEM in-the coming years.
I have been a part of various services for a while and the reach these sites have is incredible.
As an example, from my LinkedIn network of eight people I've an extended network of over 12,600 people.
Imagine that - I am merely a click or two away from close to 13,000 other folks who share my similar interests ranging from what I like to watch on TV to work I could give to them.
Through my connections and their connections, I am related to people ranging from the American Cancer Society, to Sun Microsystems to the University of Texas to Google.
But what marketing possibilities exist for Social Networking?
Well, let us examine MySpace.
