超級盃總冠軍爭奪即將在台灣時間2/2(一)上午7點30分在亞歷桑那鳳凰城大學體育場舉行，由衛冕冠軍的西雅圖海鷹迎戰新英格蘭愛國者，雙方各有優勢，海鷹防守強，愛國者有明星四分衛布雷迪(Tom Brady)坐鎮。
海鷹靠著防守連續兩年闖進超級盃，例行賽平均失分15.9分為聯盟最低。上屆超級盃只讓丹佛野馬拿下8分，出色的防守讓對手進攻上難以施展，今年海鷹隊每場只讓對手傳出185.6碼、對手跑出81.5碼，都是在聯盟前三的水準。
在進攻部分海鷹也並非弱者，例行賽平均得24.6分排在聯盟第10。平均每場跑陣172.6碼，每次平均推進5.3碼，全都是聯盟第一

不同於海鷹，愛國者則是攻防的平?，進攻上平均得分29.2分排第4，加上四分衛布雷迪，愛國者的進攻大多都是傳球為主，例行賽34次傳球達陣排名聯盟第5，愛國者的進攻幾乎就是圍繞在布雷迪一個人掌控。
愛國者防守部分，平均每場失分為19.6分，此外愛國者讓對手接球成功率59.6%排名全聯盟第8，一整個球季下來只讓對手6次跑陣達陣，防守能力也相當出色。

四分衛對決 Tom Brady VS Russell Wilson
愛國者明星四分衛布雷迪，6次在超級盃先發為史上最多，雖然37歲不過實力依然，尤其他與教練比利契克(Bill Belichick)的搭擋可說是NFL史上最佳組合，能不能幫助愛國者拿下第4座冠軍，布雷迪表現相當重要。
提到海鷹大部份都著重在防守，但威爾森(Russell Wilson)也是相當出色的四分衛，不過今年例行賽被42次擒殺的次數稍微多了些，但心臟相當大顆的他，依然還是海鷹攻擊的重要人物。

愛國者端鋒擁葛朗考斯基(Rob Gronkowski)有198公分120公斤的身材，讓他成為全聯盟最難守的端鋒，尤其他本季接球碼數超過1000碼，是愛國者進攻的主要武器。
海鷹林區(Marshawn Lynch)已經是NFL的明星跑鋒了，例行賽一共貢獻13次達陣是全聯盟第一，整個球季跑出1306碼為全聯盟第4，海鷹需要推進碼數，把球交給林區就對了。

安格斯牛肉因美軍在韓部署薩德系統而趨緊的雙邊關係，他們將與大陸外長王毅會談。但南韓外交部3日卻指出，反對薩德入韓的在野陣營政治人士訪中無助於國家利益。
據韓聯社報導，共同民主黨的8名議員訪中，計畫與大陸外交部長王毅等人就薩德問題進行面談，他們計畫將「部署薩德應推遲至下一屆政府」的主張傳達給中方；韓方代表稱，韓團成員包括共同民主黨前黨首文在寅，其被認為是韓國下屆總統選舉熱門人選。
韓聯社3日報導，韓外交部發言人趙俊赫3日在例行記者會上，就共同民主黨8名議員即將訪問大陸討論薩德問題表示，政府在關注相關動向，進行必要的溝通；他說，在韓部署薩德是為了從北韓核彈威脅中保護國家安全和國民生命的主權性、自衛性防禦措施，是政府和朝野應形成共識和負起責任來處理的重大國家安全事務。這段談話被認為是婉轉指出反對薩德入韓的在野陣營政治人士訪中無助於國家利益。
目前，南韓正在加快部署薩德系統的進程，韓方已經承諾在2017年底將在其境內完成部署，這也是中韓關係緊張的主要因素。中俄兩國都反覆表達了對薩德的反對態度，指出薩德系統並不僅僅針對北韓，而是將威脅整個中國內陸和俄羅斯遠東地區。
