國際航空運輸協會(International Air Transport Association, IATA)今天(2日)公布報告，指去年12月的全球航空載客需求達到去年最高峰，在中東、亞太地區與歐洲都達到兩位數的成長，若平均下來，去年12月與前年同期相比則是成長8.8%，至於去年的全年航空載客需求為成長6.3%。
IATA秘書長兼執行長迪朱尼艾克(Alexandre de Juniac)表示：「全球航空旅遊需求仍持續擴大，各國政府目前面臨的挑戰是如何與旅遊業者合作，滿足航空基礎設施需求，藉以增進適合(航空旅遊業)成長的法規與設施，及不會遏止成長的稅制。」
朱尼艾克說，我們必須捍衛航空業的社會與經濟利益，免於受到旅遊與保護主義機制的屏障危害。
美國職棒大聯盟今天公布年度MVP獲獎者，美聯部分，天使隊外野手「鱒魚」Mike Trout(楚勞特)擊敗各家好手，以25歲之姿，拿下生涯第2座MVP獎項，擠身傳奇之列。
