任天堂的Wii遊戲機(Nintendo’s Wii video game consoles)上市以來，一月之間狂銷200萬台。
「超搶手Wii和PS3缺貨中新年一機難求有錢買不到」
這熱情無國界。這超搶手的Wii是在中國生產的，所以日本關西地區的輸入值陡高(Wii boosts Kansai’s import figures)，比去年玩具輸入多2.5倍（Wii 佔40%），

台系Wii概念股今日表現均相當強勢。

Salmonella 沙氏桿菌屬
我對於細菌學Salmonella(沙氏桿菌屬，種類二千多)不太了解。不過編譯館的相關名詞七八十個：
Bacillus phasiani septicus ; Salmonella gallinarum 山雞敗血症桿菌
Bacillus psittacosis ; Salmonella psittacosis 鸚鵡腸炎桿菌
Bacillus suipestifer ; Bacterium suipestifer ; Bacterium cholerae suis ; Salmonella suipestifer 豕霍亂桿菌
diphasic Salmonella type 二相沙氏桿菌型
Salmonella abortus-equi 馬流產沙氏桿菌

沙門氏菌(Salmonella spp. --這方面在管理機構的規定是「不得檢出」，相關的食物中毒—菌的檢驗不難，不過中毒。多事後才診斷出來。經濟損失：每年讓美國損失50-170億美元。

在2006年，重大事件有英國吉百利食品(Cadbury Schweppes Plc.)的巧克力風暴和加拿大的美國Hershey (Canada)事件。

Auto Safety Recalls Down in 2006

Automakers slashed the number of cars and trucks recalled in the United States in 2006 by 38%, as General Motors Corp. and Ford Motor Co. made good on pledges to reduce safety-related defects in their vehicles.

A Free Press analysis of federal data suggests that automakers have become more adept at catching problems earlier in production, before they affect a large number of customers. But their systems are far from perfect: Government investigations sparked many of the largest recalls last year.
